The Site Became Part of the World

The Making Of stopped behaving like a brochure.

Carny Island production record · Evidence-backed chronology—not Brett’s personal narration

27 July was the day the Making Of site stopped behaving like a brochure and began behaving like part of Carny Island. Brett’s authored art moved out of a single gallery and into the pages where it explains the game, its people and its laws.

The logo system was disciplined rather than scattered: a different authored Carny Island logo was placed before each numbered section, while character and gameplay art carried the page itself.

The Campaign Desk also gained a deliberate launch order for the Master video library. It remains a private production surface. Proposed films and unfinished Brett notes do not become public diary entries merely because they exist in the queue.

This entry is labelled as a production record because Brett did not provide a first-person diary text for 27 July. The distinction matters: the machines can collate the evidence, but they do not get to invent the artist’s memory.

Authorship

The artist remembers. The machines keep the receipts.
