Crookwood: the tunnel reveal. Sightline study with Tunnel of Loove V3.

We want to open coming out of the tunnel and into the yard at sunset. The Hex Witch Base is in the distance, with rocket witches taking off and silhouetted against the setting sun. The Phallic and the ball give the yard its physical presence.

The ball's size is locked. It looks immediately like something to steer well clear of. When we drop it, it will sound like a locomotive.

This exercise put six sections of the tunnel artwork into depth and tested the view from inside, at the threshold and out in the yard. Making the landmark envelopes solid revealed what the outlines concealed: the current entrance leaves a narrow sightline and partly hides the sun and Hex Base.

The next step is to refine the tunnel placement. The yard orientation and ball size stay fixed. The tunnel dimensions and solid landmark envelopes in this test are provisional; this is a sightline study, not the finished opening.

Rocket-witch flight and locomotive sound describe intended direction; neither is implemented in this study. Music: Tunnel of Loove V3, with an opening and closing fade.
